Many were paralysed to action as pictures, videos and newscasts flooded the digital world - but not the membership and officers of our little Society. We responded quickly - together with a partner organization, we were able to send $8,000 to the people of Leyte and Samar a few days after the event. $7,000 through the ICM Sisters | $1,000 through ABS-CBN Immediately after the super typhoon hit Tacloban, the Executive Officers and the Maxi Edora group unanismously decided to send as quickly as possible financial help of $4000 to the victims of this disaster, through the ICM Sisters of the Philippines and ABS-CBN. In partnership with A Gift from the Heart Foundation, an additional $3000 was added to the funds! Watch and listen to what Anderson Cooper of CNN has to say about the courage of our people! The victims of the calamity responded with a plea and gratitude for all who helped.
